I don’t remember the last time I (Christopher) posted, but it has been a while. It’s funny, because we have been to a plethora of events these last few weeks, with more events this weekend and next weekend. I guess work (my day job), getting ready for upcoming events, and recovering from prior events, are my biggest excuses. Well, here I am, blogging. So, what shall I blog about? How about free giveaway winners from the Houston Celtic Festival? First, however, I would like to welcome all of the people we spoke with at our booth during the festival. Thanks especially to the folks who attended our readings. Despite the volume of rain dropped on us that Saturday, the event in 2010 caused rivers to flow through the arena, so this wasn’t so bad.

Updates and Giveaway Winners
And Now Our Winners!!!! (update from Heather)
Yes, it’s been a loooong time since we posted. Yes, we’re horrible that way. However, we’re trying to keep moving forward on Curse of Venus, and that’s really why we are so horrible on blogging.
Anyways…. at long last here are the winners of a free book from the authors of the Morrigan’s Brood Series!
1. Patrick McKeever
2. Arleen Haas
3. Amanda Ganall
4. Spencer Ames
Congrats to our winners! We will contact you tomorrow about shipping and all that!
Have a great night!
Thanks again to the great folks at Aggiecon for a wonderful time! Sometimes I miss Aggieland! This weekend reminded me that it is a great place.
Now I have to deal with a very needy kitty.
A New Year, New Events… and a New Book
What… no picture? Shhh…. that comes later. For now, you will have to contend with text… boring text. Hey, there needs to be some motivation for you to click the More button… right? So, why should you read this boring text and THEN click More? Well, I (author Christopher Dunbar) will tell you… new cover art for Curse of Venus: Morrigan’s Brood Book IV by the lovely and talented Khanada Taylor, that’s why!
Oh, and some news about new events, a new year, and… you guessed it… a new book. OK, now click More and read More. [Unless of course you went directly to this post and didn't navigate from the main page.]

Winners and New Appearances
We have winners, events coming up, interviews, and more.
And the winners are…
Well, we have been busy, but we finally did our drawing… combining winners from the last four events we have attended, so we have four winners. They are:
- April Boyle
- Deseray King
- Sonya Sackett
- Jaimee Mayes
We will be contacting these winners soon to get shipping information. Congratulations!
We also still have the free giveaway and free eBook on Goodreads.
Other Stuff
Go to our website to find out about our 2013 schedule. Also, we will make another post when Paranormal Haven publishes our character interviews… asking them about what they did as mortals around the time that we today celebrate Halloween.
Well, it is bed time, so I (Christopher) shall end this with a big THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING US STARVING AUTHORS!!!
On Our Way to Sherwood Forest
Come on out to Sherwood Forest Celtic Music Festival this weekend!
2013 Event Calendar Published and Other News
Where to Start? 2012 Appearances
I (Christopher) have been running ragged trying to book events for next year, of course as some of you in the biz know, some places won’t start accepting applications (or send you invitations) until 3 to 3 months out. However, one venue is way on the ball… Comicpalooza, and they are in late May… yet at this moment, vendor applications are available on-line. Wow… So, to finish off this year’s appearances, we have the Magick Cauldron this weekend, followed by Sherwood Forest Celtic Music Festival and HPPD in September and the Salado Scottish Festival in November. Heather and I are both working to add some smaller venues somewhere in that time-frame, so keep checking your calendar. Some of you recall that we had previously listed the Austin Celtic Festival, but because of their small size and that most of their prior years’ vendors came back, they had no room for us; maybe next year. For dates and links, visit our events page on our website.

Space City Con this Weekend and other News
Events and Stuff
Lots of stuff coming up on the next few months, but nothing so impending as Space City Con! That’s right… *THIS* weekend is Space City Con, taking place in the Westin Galleria in Houston, Texas. Visit Space City Con for more information on the event. Heather and I will be signing books there, so bring yours if you’ve got ‘em, but if you don’t, that’s alright… we can sell you some of ours. Come out and enjoy the fun! Nichelle Nichols, R.A. Salvatore, and Breandán Ó Ciarraí, among many other talented actors, celebrities, artists, writers, and others will be there. Oh yeah… and us.
The Saturday after that… next weekend, we will be at the Magick Cauldron for another book-signing. If you don’t like big crowds, but you still would like to see us in Houston, this would be a good venue for you. Plus, you won’t have to buy a ticket to get in (like you would with Space City Con). Visit our Events page for more book signing events we will be attending this year and next.
